Who We Are
A God glorifying, Christ exalting, Spirit-led Church
Man’s pride and preoccupation with himself is the root of sin, and all his miseries, and has no place in the church. Seeking the glory of God and exaltation of Christ, and not man’s personal desires, is the primary focus of Scripture and must be the church’s as well. This, in turn, leads to man’s fulfillment and joy. Therefore, we seek to be a God glorifying, Christ-exalting, Spirit-led church.
A scripture focused church
The Scriptures in conjunction with the Holy Spirit are sufficient for growth and every spiritual and emotional problem of the believer and church. The integration of the concepts and techniques of secular psychology is unnecessary and, in the end, potentially harmful. Therefore, we seek to be a Scripture-focused church.
A missions-minded church
We take seriously the Great Commission to spread the glory of Christ to all peoples by saving men from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. We preach the gospel. The church is urged to share Christ. Missionaries are supported. Therefore, we seek to be a soul winning church – here, near and far.
A Biblical Marriage and family church
The Bible teaches the standards for the husband, wife and for child rearing, as well sex/gender roles (assigned at birth by God). We believe the key to the church is the family, the key to the family is the marriage and the key to the marriage is the husband/father. Therefore, we seek to be a church committed to Biblical marriage, family and biblically defined sex/gender assignment & roles.
A ministering church
The equipping of the saints for ministry and the operation of every believer’s gift is a priority. God gave each gifts and placed each in the church as He chose. We come to church to serve, not to be served. Therefore, we seek to be a ministering church.
A loving church
The two great commands are to love the Lord our God and to love one another. Additionally, we are told by Jesus that we will be known by our love. Therefore, we seek to be a church known by its love for God, one another within the church, and others.
A church awaiting the imminent return of Christ
We believe that Christ will return in the rapture, prior to the 7yr tribulation, and has warned the church to be ready, as His return is imminent, i.e. at any time. Therefore, we seek to be a church known by its preparedness for the imminent return of Christ, living in holiness, and sharing the good news of the gospel as we have opportunity.
